"Hey Peter, how are you? It's been a long time since we met" Allen called out.
"Hi Allen, I'm doing good. Just came back from a trip to Great Britain, and that's why I couldn't be there for our weekly parties this past month."
"Oh great, how's the weather there?"
"It's wonderful at this time of the year. Have you met Mr.Louise before? He accompanied me for the tour."
"Pleasure", said Louise, nodding in Allen's direction. "We had a nice time going through all the museums there. It's a pity you missed out"
"My boss had an important conference to attend here, but I'm sure we can plan out something the next time. Hey what are those stains near your collar? Looks like blood to me"
"Just a minor scratch, nothing serious. There's John coming along"
"Hey guys! Looks like you need this party very badly. Come on, chill out a bit. Everyone seems so worn out" John mocked.
"Yes John, unluckily for us, our bosses need us with them in business meetings all day long, while all you do is play! Right, who else is expected? Did you call Adi?"
"Well Adi said he will be staying in Campus for some more time, so he'll probably come next week. My brother Mark is assisting his master in French classes, so he won't be here in tonight."
"And what about Edward?"
"He's studying hard for his upcoming exams. Told me pretty matter-of-factly not to disturb him for another couple of weeks. I've called Meena though, she must be here any moment"
"Oh look, that's her. Hi beautiful!", Peter waved out.
"Hey, nice to see all of you here. Sorry I got a bit delayed, Ma'am was at her bargaining best in the market today!"
"Not at all, the party's just started. Is Ray finally coming along?"
"Oh no, you know how he is. He prefers more classier joints."
"Yeah, the great man that he is, doesn't want to mix with us lesser mortals... Hey, who's that new girl over there? She sure looks cute."
"Her, she's been appointed recently. Big time snob, claims that all the other girls are jealous of her because she's just turned 21! Acts like a Diva just because she got to intern along with you-know-who."
"You don't say! Well, she's got the looks for it. Meena, come on, introduce us to her will you."
"Oh, alright, if you insist. Is this some new flavour? Tastes weird!", Meena said, taking a sip of the drink.
Suddenly there was a whirring sound all around them.
"Yes, I think they are trying it out for the first time. Hey, the place is finally come alive. Let's paaarty!"
And with that I closed the lid of the washing machine.
